DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN HEACHAM HAD A
RAILWAY STATION?
| . | |
August Bank Holiday 1959 |
During the floods of 31st January 1953 parts of the track on the Heacham to Wells line were washed away in several places between Burnham Market and Wells. |
|
Freight trains continued to run on the Heacham to Wells line as far as Burnham Market until December 1964 but on 29th June 1952 there was a returning 'PILGRIM SPECIAL' from Walsingham to Ketteringham. |
