The novel Sponsored Bed Push went ahead despite the awful weather over the Easter weekend.  Six members of staff from Fridhem Rest Home braved the elements to push a hospital bed from the Sailing Club in Hunstanton, along the promenade to Heacham North Beach.  From there they went around the caravan sites and the village pubs to collect for their Residents' Entertainment Fund.

The Entertainment Fund enables Fridhem residents to go on trips out to places of interest, have the home visited by a large variety of entertainers, keeps their mini-bus in good repair and provides lots of activities within the home.

The girls braved the weather from 11am until 6pm touring around Heacham and were welcomed by all the various pubs and clubs.   Thanks to the support received along the way £289.50 was collected on the day, with sponsor money still to come.  Fridhem Rest Home Entertainment Fund hopes to exceed £800 from the event.

Well done to the "bed pushers", those who supported the event financially and the girls who covered shifts at the home to keep things going.

Fridhem's next big fund raiser is on July 6th at 2pm - an Ascot Day, with `horse racing`, strawberries and champagne, and a Mrs. Shilling hat competition as well as all the normal summer fete stalls so please come along and support them.
