The constant rainy weather
experienced in June and the start of July very obligingly disappeared
to aid the success of a key event in Heacham's Jamestown
celebrations as the sun
shone and a subtle breeze kept temperatures to a comfortable level.
Around 12.30pm, the walking procession assembled at the Church of St Mary the Virgin
and traversed down Hunstanton Road and Station Road. The
procession continued to the sports field adjacent to the Heacham Social
Club. The costumed parade must have been a trifle warm in all
their finery - well done to each and every one - especially the
children.
