NORFOLK LAVENDER'S
ANNUAL LAVENDER FESTIVAL
CELEBRATES 75 YEARS OF NORFOLK LAVENDER

23 - 24 June 2021

Stella of HOL would like to thank Norfolk Lavender for the photos and editorial contribution for this feature

In Norfolk Lavender's special 75th anniversary year, their 2007 Lavender Festival proved to be yet another successful occasion in their calendar of events.  This year saw more exhibitors than ever. So many that Norfolk Lavender had to erect a large marquee on the lawn in front of their tearoom to accommodate the increasing demand.

Throughout the weekend visitors were able to sample the many delights and activities on offer which included guided tours to the lavender fields by minibus, lavender in food and drink tastings, lavender planting and care demonstrations, a craft fair, art exhibition, talks by their Managing Director and renowned lavender expert Henry Head, bee keeping and a local face painter.

Joining Norfolk Lavender this year were representatives from Tapping House Hospice who offered taster sessions of aromatherapy treatments, the Lavender Trust who specialize in helping young women with breast cancer and are a  charity supported by Norfolk Lavender, The Lavender Lacemakers , Imagine Health and Spa – newly opened at the Knights Hill Hotel, Kings Lynn, and Park House Hotel from Sandringham who offer holidays for disabled people and are part of The Leonard Cheshire group.

The Sunday Carvery Lunch, which operates every week in the Millers Cottage Tearoom at Caley Mill, once again proved extremely popular.

Although the weather wasn’t always kind, several hundred visitors from near and far enjoyed the weekend and plans are already under way for the 2008 Lavender Festival!
