2007 is Norfolk Lavender's special
75th anniversary year and their Easter Weekend Celebrations
benefited from warm and sunny weather. The hundreds of
people who came through their doors over the weekend were treated to a
variety of activities including craft exhibitors featuring jewellery,
leather goods, landscape photography, crystals and hand made cards.
Daily guided tours of their gardens and distillery took place, along
with food and drink tasting sessions and horticultural demonstrations
throughout the Visitor Division at Caley Mill.
Caley Mill's Carvery (held every
Sunday between 12noon and 2pm) proved hugely popular once again, as did
the performance given by the King’s Morris – the Morris Men of Lynn -
which took place on Easter Monday lunchtime and was enjoyed by a large
crowd in front of the tearooms.
Local artist, Frank Gibson, also
held an exhibition of his works.
