Heacham Gets a Weather Station

A weather station is now up and running at Heacham North Beach after being installed during June and all work completed by 23 July 2007.  The sunset coastline of Norfolk now has unrivalled coverage of the Heacham and Hunstanton weather and water conditions so that water enthusiasts can be fully informed before they even leave their living rooms.

The idea was first aired in 2006, when Andy Holland from the Hunstanton Sailing Club approached the Putting Green Caravan Park in Heacham with a view to siting a weather station alongside the North Beach Webcam at Putting Green Caravan Park.  Owner, Aubrey Thomas kindly agreed and no more was heard for some time but now the project has been brought to fruition by Hunstanton Sailing Club, The Hub, Putting Green Caravan Site, and Positive Computing.
