Heacham Beach Party 2007
Sunday, 22nd July 2007

Photos and Feature by Stella of HOL.
A big thank you to Philippa for editorial assistance, to Leanne for the pic of me and the boys
and to Barry for sending in some of his photos too.

The weather was outstanding for last year's Beach Party but it looked as though 2007 may have been rained off.
Amazingly, in the midst of all the downpours, the sun shone for the 2007 Heacham Beach Party after all.
Heacham Parish Council's 9th Annual Beach Party attracted slightly lower numbers than last year
yet still proved to be a great family event for both residents and holidaymakers alike.
This was the first Beach Party I had ever managed to attend
and my family for one thought it was great
and a must for everyone's diary and we look forward to 2008.

The hovercrafts
which skimmed
over the flat wet sand
was a great favourite
(as is always the case
I understand).
My boys and I joined
the queue to find out
what all the excitement
was about and found
ourselves wanting to
queue for more but
time ran out ....

Younger party goers built
sandcastles, had their faces
painted and took home
a pirate sword made from
balloons.
All ages enjoyed the
traditional Punch and Judy Show
and the not so traditional
Magic Show by the
locally well known "Rollo".
 New activities for this year
were the giant versions of
Jenga and Connect 4.

Partygoers dined al fresco on burgers or sausages from the BBQ and hot and cold drinks until the party ended at 8.00pm.

The event, which had support from Jennings Shop, Hunstanton and District Ladies Circle, Moulam and Horn, Ovation Theatre Arts,
Tescos and Jaz D Designs, raised over £200 for the Children's Summer Activities Programme.
