'The 2nd Heacham Scarecrow Festival' took place on what turned out to be
a very pleasant and sunny afternoon.  There were around 20 entries.

The event was supported by stalls run by the Ladies Circle, the Scarecrow Committee,
Scallywags, Heacham Digital Camera Club and Heacham-On-Line.
The stalls offered tombolas, a lucky dip, face painting, photographs of the event and
an opportunity to guess how many unique hits HOL had in April 2006 (10,328)
as compared with April 2005 (5,500).

The winner of "Guess how many unique hits HOL had in April" was won by
Pauline Peake who guessed 10,310 and the stall raised £21 to start the
"Web Cams for Heacham" fundraising.  So Pauline and 3 friends/family
can enjoy a meal at The Wheatsheaf Inn up to the value of £40.

Doreen and I would like to say a big thank you to all who supported HOL
and came to have a chat with us.

We were all amply entertained by Joe Mcaffrey, Heacham Twirlers
and Yvonnes' Line Dancing School.
