Fund raisers at Putting Green Caravan Park chose Rudham Ward (Children's Ward) at the QE Hospital and the British Heart Foundation to benefit from this years events. The weather was kind for the Easter table top sale and the annual August mini fete both events were well supported. When holding these events you always rely on so many people, to give items, their time, borrow from and of course those that spend their money!!! Thanks to all!!! Special thanks to Mary Pishorn and friends for encouragement and help, and Mollie and Vern Tee. We were delighted to send cheques amounting to £1000 to Rudham Ward and £600 to the British Heart Foundation. Heacham 1st Scout Group who are in the process of maintaining and refurbishing the Scout Hall benefited by the donation of material to the value of £77.50 towards this project. The Wayman
family from Witchford (Ely) organised Putting Greens own sponsored "Race
for Life" five laps of the caravan park, runners, walkers, dogs and
motorbility scooters entered. The event was a huge success, and great
fun, it was followed by an evening barbecue. A cheque for £2150 was
later handed to Pammie Tebbs from the Cancer Research shop at Ely, and
£100 to St John Ambulance who were in attendance on the day. Yours sincerely Pam
