LOST PARROT
Rizla the Parrot Come Home!

A Heacham-On-Line Appeal for Help from the Public

Julie and Darren of Dew Drop Close, Heacham have raised their pet parrot, Rizla, since a baby so he is very much part of their family.  HOL is sad to report that Rizla is currently lost and hopes that someone out there can help by reporting sightings.  He flew out of Julie and Darren's home on Sunday, 2 July (around 1pm) towards New Row, Heacham.  Despite assistance from neighbours all searches proved fruitless.

Rizla prefers the company of males rather than females, is a constant talker - he is forever repeating their children's names - and he is unable to fly very high but can climb.  The RSPCA advise that he may be near an area with children or aviary birds as this is similar to his home environment.  Parrots have been known to return home in similar circumstances after an absence as long as 30 days.  It has been 6 days since Rizla disappeared so here's hoping.

It is possible that Rizla has been seen in Snettisham but this report is unconfirmed.

Julie and Darren tell me that there is a reward for his capture or return as they would dearly love to see their "baby" again.
