The
photo above is kindly supplied by Albert's family. It shows a good looking Albert (aged 18 or 19) cutting the hair of Frank English (May 1964) |

Above: Albert's last adult hair cut - his son Neil (apparently Neil had the first hair cut in the High Street shop) |
Members of
Albert's family and some friends gathered to enjoy a small toast on the day and to take the opportunity for a last hair cut in the High Street shop. |
Above: I know you are retiring today Dad but do I really have to sweep up after myself! |

Above: Albert's grandson James (6) pip's Neil at the post and has the final hair cut. |
Above: Albert's granddaughter, Polly (3)doesn't want to be left out so she has her hair combed. |

There are many customers - Heachamites, holiday makers, those from nearby villages alike - who will remember Albert's as a central part of their lives - a place to meet, share news and to have a laugh. Many generations of the same family (in some cases no less than four counted) have had their hair tended to by Albert over the years. Albert's personal contribution to Heacham life will therefore be sadly missed.
