CHRISTMAS FAIR & CRAFTS WEEKEND
AT NORFOLK LAVENDER
2-3 December 2006

Many thanks to Norfolk Lavender for providing photos and editorial to make this feature possible

Norfolk Lavender held their 2006 Christmas Fair & Crafts weekend as usual at their Caley Mill headquarters in Heacham.  Many local visitors enjoyed the weekend along with coach parties from further afield.

Throughout the weekend there were Tastings of Lavender in Food and Drink activities in the Lavender Shop where visitors had the opportunity to sample lavender in cakes , jams, and many other items – including the delicious lavender liqueur! In the Millers Cottage Tearoom many crafts were exhibited by several local craftspeople throughout the weekend – including cards, wreaths, wood art, cushions, scarves, jewellery and a display of some works by local artist Roger Jennings.

On the Saturday afternoon, Heacham Junior School Choir entertained visitors and staff with their recital of Christmas carols and songs and, on Sunday, musicians from King’s Lynn Salvation Army gave an excellent performance of further carols.

I am told that Norfolk Lavender celebrates their 75th anniversary in 2007
so we can look forward to many more interesting events at Norfolk Lavender in 2007.
Watch out for further details.
